Review Notes: Inside a colorful green tube is an extremely well crafted cigar. No. 7 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2006. Appearance would be perfect but for some veins on the dark brown wrapper. Pre-light aroma is something I rarely notice, but this one has an enticing almost gingerbread kind of smell, a result I guess from being inside the tube. Initially it draws a bit firmly, but it opens up once the mostly even burn reaches the fat part of the cigar. Similarly, the flavor takes a few puffs to get going, but once they surface they're rich and hearty wood and nutty flavors that also reach their peak at the fat point of the cigar. Not cheap, but interesting to look at and interesting to smoke.
