Review Notes: This beautiful-looking churchill has a lightly oily wrapper with rich color, and the fancy band complements the wrapper nicely. No. 14 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2006. A perfect draw produces plenty of smoke, and a mostly even burn leaves behind solid, flakeless ash that holds on for a while. A spicy start quickly transforms into rich woody and coffee flavors; the second half is creamy with a subtler spiciness. Not as strong as expected but smooth and balanced, perhaps due to prolonged aging without celophane. Not a cheap smoke, but worth it.
