Review Notes: Long and thin with a nicely done tip, this pencil-shaped cigar is a bit of an anomaly but I think looks pretty good. The draw is perfect, lush and easy, and produces lots of smoke. The burn is excellent for the first half of the smoke, but needs some retouching in the second. Ash is somewhat flaky. After an initial burst of red hot pepper, it gradually transforms into some cream and coffee flavors that are quite smooth. It still retains some underlying power, but it's not nearly as strong as, say, the PerfecXion No.5 which has a nearly identical ring size. An hour long smoke with a rather short finish and not much of a buzz afterwards. For anyone who hasn't had an Opus yet, I would recommend this one as the first to try; it gives you an idea of the flavor but with moderate intensity.
