Review Notes: No. 21 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2004. The cameroon wrapper is a bit veiny, but it has a nice sheen and a well-shaped head. It smokes flawlessly with a lush draw, straight burn, and a tight ash that holds on forever. Peppery at the onset, it relaxes to reveal sweet wood and vanilla flavors that are smooth and mellow. It does fade a bit at the very end, however, where a nicotine taste becomes evident. It's an Ashton so it's expensive, and it's an excellent cigar; still, I think most people would prefer to spend this much money on a flavorful, full-bodied smoke (i.e. Ashton VSG) than on a flavorful, medium-bodied smoke such as this.
