Review Notes: For my 100th review on this site, I smoked this famous and expensive cigar, No. 1 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2004. It's a beautiful torpedo, perfectly pressed with a silky wrapper; it belongs inside a display case, and it's a shame that it has to be cut and set on fire. The draw is perfect and produces plenty of smoke; the burn, however, could have been better as it was a bit uneven and inconsistent and needed a few corrections, which was a surprise. The flavor is outstanding: lots of chocolate, leather, and nuts right from the start, turning more creamy and cocoa-like later. Smooth, rich, complex, balanced, etc.; all the positive adjectives apply. Medium to full in body, it's sneaky strong as the buzz kicks in late in the smoke. Very expensive, but for a special occasion cigar it would be hard to do better than this.
