Review Notes: A beautiful cigar, but I found questionable construction here, with slight sponginess & a bit of a tight draw. An almost cloying sugary sweet tone became evident almost immediately. An undertone of anise, or licorice, was also present. In the 1st 3rd, there was a high in the sinus that just kept getting higher & higher & was very interesting. This didn't last long & the cigar mellowed somewhat, but the sugary tone & the licorice flavor in the finish stuck around throughout the cigar. There were flashes of Macanudo-like tones toward the end. I only had a few weeks on this cigar that came in a 6 pack of Monte Whites, so age may help to settle some of the cloying properties. Also, since I only had 1 of this size, I don't know how fair this review actually is on this mild to medium bodied cigar.
