Review Notes: After trying virtually everything Senor Garcia makes, I'm now pretty convinced the Nacionales is my favorite. Perhaps not his most complex blend, but IMO, his best. As soon as you put a torch to it, the aroma tells you this is no ordinary stick. Medium strength, but packed with dense flavors of nuts and leather and that elusive "twang" we all crave. No youthful, peppery bite that I find in other Pepin blends such as the 601 Red or the "Blue Label." Nor does it have the dryness I sometimes encounter with the Achilles and the Legends Yellow. If there's a beef, it's that the flavor doesn't change much from start to finish. Such a minor complaint that I almost feel silly raising it, but I feel like I should explain why I didn't give this a 10. Burn line can wander due to occasional soft spots, but it doesn't affect the performance. Otherwise, this smoke is about all I can ask for.
