Review Notes: It ain't the 4th of July until I toast an USA-made stick, right? I bypassed the usual Miami suspects and reached for an OPK. No, these aren't made in CT anymore (Cigar Envy notes that production has moved to the DR), but this five year-old bundle was born in Hazzardville. Tangy wood and coffee with a touch of leather. Somewhat strong despite the absence of spice. The wrapper is listed above as CTBL, but it is actually Nic. corojo from the late 90s, according to the brand's creator. Worthy of mention only because the OPK tastes something like the GH Corojo #5, minus the peppery tingle. The only downside in the flavor department is that it flattens out considerably in the last third. Construction is impeccable. Sorry to hear about Haddo's unlucky experience, but I can say I haven't run into a plugged one (in just under three bundles now). An unheralded US-made gem that stands up well vs. its better known cousins from Miami.
