Review Notes: Nine months after my first peculiar encounter with the Legends Purple, this one still kind of a mess. Burn for the first half was a disaster. Flavors were fine, nutty and leathery, though by the time the burn remedied itself, the flavor had faded to char/ash.

Review Notes: Having been relatively unimpressed with Graycliffs, I didn't approach this smoke with lofty expectations. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised by the first half of this one. Starts off toasty with a tangy, maybe even fruity flavor on the finish. Increasingly nutty toward halftime. So far, so good. And then BAM! Turned bitter on a dime. So bitter, in fact, that I gave this one up a good inch before I typically would. Two distinct chapters to this smoke: The first half would've rated a 7 or 8 on taste; the last third was a 4 at best. All in all, previous reviewers had this one pegged. Hoping some time helps these, though the first half might well be worth the modest auction price (?).
