Review Notes: I was very excited about smoking this cigar, but was expecting it to be kind of a disappointment, because Fuente’s, although good cigars, don’t usually live up to their hype. However, this bad boy was very good, and I am definitely glad I have a few of them in my humidor. It had a beautiful maduro wrapper, which usually means it’s going to be strong, and it was. The ash was grey and flakey but quite sturdy. The draw was perfect and the smoke was creamy and thick. It burned pretty even until the end where it started burning towards the middle and the sides had to be re-lit a couple of times. It had a very interesting flavor, which I would describe as grassy. It also had a subtle spiciness about it, and some bitter cocoa hints. My only complaint about this cigar, besides its burn problems, is that it became a little bit harsh at the end, but it came and went and thankfully wasn’t overbearing. Overall this was a great cigar and well worth its value. If the others are just as good as this one I’m going to have to keep one of the boxes of these I’m selling.
