Review Notes: With this cigar I got to experience how important the blend of tabacco is in cigars and how important it is that they burn even to get a balanced flavor. This one started of with very peppry notes and it was very flavor full. After the first ash was dumped in the ashtray it really got going and the flavor then reminded me of grilled mushrooms that my grandmother makes. Then it turned bad, I mean really horrible, it was so bitter that I was about to chuck it. But then I reminded myself that it's not an ordinary cigar and that I actually paid quite a lot for this one so I decided to stick with it. By this point I was about halfway and the cigar was about to go out. So I dumped the second ash and then I saw something I hadn't seen or at least noticed before, The cigar had started to burn towards the center and not burning the outer layers or the wrapper so it had left a big hole. So I figure that the tobacco in the center was the bitter part and since it was the only part burning the cigar had become awfully bitter. I relight it and was hoping for the best. And man what a difference! Now it was balanced, creamy and all the nice flavors and then some came back. Now what I can say is that I kind of understand the science of cigar rolling. So because of this I can't say that the construction was great and because of a vein in the wrapper it wasn't to pretty either, But I like to think that those kind of imperfections gives the cigar character. Overall, a great experience and I have another in the humidor so I'm just hoping that it will be better constructed and still deliver the same great flavors. If you can, try it! I always say that you should try as many cigars as possible, because you never know when you might find a favorite. This wasn't my favorite but it could be yours.
