Review Notes: Bauza is an ancient Cuban brand who's international production was halted during the centralization of the Cuban cigar industry under Fidel Castro. Today's Bauza are made by Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in Santiago, Dominican Republic using and Ecuadoran sun-grown Sumatra seed wrapper, not unlike the Ashton ESG, and featuring an all-Dominican longfiller blend and binder. The cigars are medium/full in body and offer spice, cedar and woody aromas with the tastes of rich tobacco. Manufactured for Mike's Cigars of Miami, FL Bauza represents an affordable, well constructed smoke with a flavor profile unique among Fuente products.
