Review Notes: The newest addition to The Griffin's line are the maduros. At first glance, I was taken by the dark, rich, maduro wrapper. This is really an oscuro or double maduro. The wrapper has a few veins, but not large and the cigar shape is slightly rough. I used a cutter and the draw was just a little tight, but still very smokable. The maduro took a little long to light and produced a lot of smoke. The maduro has the classic smoothness of The Griffin's, but big, big taste. This is an earthy, mouth filling smoke with some spice. The flavor doesn't quit between draws. Good with full bodied red wines or a meaty dining experience. One of my favorites for now.
