Review Notes: I enjoyed my first La Tradicion Perdomo Reserve Cabinet Series "P" (whew! that's a mouthful!) last night. I received it in a trade and was looking forward to trying it. Pre-burn, I found the Cameroon wrapper to have a nice feel and appearance - firm and velvety. The perfecto shape was unique for me -- I think it might have been my first, so I didn't really know what to expect from this little guy. It lit very nicely and gave me a *bang* of pepper on my tongue for the first 1/2". I thought, man this is one spicy cigar. But after that first 1/2", it mellowed to a nice licorice flavor that reminded me of Earl Grey tea (spiced with Oil of Bergamut). Generally, I found that the deeper I went into this cigar, the more I enjoyed it's flavor. About half-way, I started to see the burn problems that others here have noted. It seemed to kick in where the RG begins to taper. The Perfecto shape was also awkward to hold, the shorter it got. The wrapper developed a slight split right at the end... and the uneven burn became exaggerated. Three things I'll give this cigar -- (1) it has a lot of flavor personality and it kept my attention; (2) it is a very great looking cigar; and (3) it gave me one helluva nicotine kick. Overall, I would say the middle was most enjoyable, and it finished a little disappointingly, but really, this is an obviously fine and enjoyable cigar (thus my overall 7 rating).
