Review Notes: I looked forward to smoking one of these after seeing that CA had rated it as one of the best of the year. I like the following as my favorite sticks: Camacho Diploma (original formulation), Signature 1932, Partagas Series D #4, La Flor Dominica Double Ligero, and Ashton VSG. These are are considered full bodied. The Gran Hanbano 3 Siglos is not close to being in the category with any of these. I found it to be a wispy smoke, favorless, mild-medium bodied cigar, which did not change in flavor or strength at all. I initially detected a slight numbing effect on my lips and a bitter aftertaste that persisted throughout. I plan to lay down the remainder for 3-4 months before trying again and give them to non cigar smoking friends if the experience is the same. I do not plan to buy more. It was not bad but nothing special.
