Review Notes: Just finished this medium-bodied Nicaraguan Puro and was pleasantly surprised. Bought it about six months ago on the recommendation of the tobacconist; it’s a great looking stick-dark and leathery, with a slight sheen and a strong cedar aroma. The construction was solid; it lit nicely and burned well throughout, leaving a light grey ash. The first third was cedar and habano pepper, the second third mellowed to a creamy, roasted flavor; the final third got a little bitter, then smoothed back out to a pretty nice finish. It’s only slightly sweet for a maduro and I agree with the last review; there was some complexity but it was muted, though overall it’s a good cigar for the price point. I’ll try a couple more, then maybe a box. Some time in the humidor seems to help this cigar.
