Review Notes: Give La Perla credit for making one of the first affordable dark/rustic cigars. Back in 2002 you could find the maduros but it was hard to find the jet black wrappers. I enjoyed these prior to the cobre or the rojo coming on the scene. CI used to pedal these cheap. Extremely earthy with hints of expresso. This cigar has some stiff competition from the likes of CAO GOL, Onyx Mini Beli, Cameroon Legend Maduros, and Partagas Black. (Especially since the price has crept up)
