Well, 2012 is just about finished.  The members of Puff.com have helped make the site a thriving online community where cigar fans can share their thoughts on cigars, accessories, legislation, and more.  To wrap up the year, here is a recap of member thoughts on five cigars that saw plenty of action in our Member Cigar Reviews section.  We’ll give you a little bit of info on each of the top five cigars, as well as a summary of the overall thoughts from members.  Enough of the intro, let’s get on with the list, shall we?

The cigars in this listed are listed in order of their popularity based on their combined user reviews in Puff’s database.  To qualify, a cigar must have at least 14 reviews.  You can view the top 25 overall here.

1. Oliva Serie V Special V Figurado

Number one on the list of the top rated cigars by members is the Oliva Serie V Special V Figurado.  This is not much of a surprise, as this cigar has received excellent ratings from many cigar publications in the past.  Approximately 60 percent of Puff voters liked this cigar.  It comes in an interesting Figurado shape that measures 6 x 60.  It’s a Nicaraguan puro with a Ligero filler from the nation’s Jalapa Valley.  Capping off the Serie V is a Habano Sun Grown wrapper.

The Special V Figurado is a great looking cigar, but does it deliver?  According most of the members, it does.  It’s described in the reviews as an excellent stick, a great smoke, and a great product from Oliva.  The flavor of the Special V is cited many times.  Some of the flavors experienced by members while smoking the cigar include cocoa, nuts, spice, chocolate, cedar, cinnamon, and sweetness.  Many also said that the Special V offered good construction and smoking qualities.  Mileage varied with some members who said it was good, but not great, but in the end the Special V Figurado prevails as the top cigar on the list.
