The flavors experienced while smoking the 5 Vegas High Primings are superb. The cigar begins with a good dose of pepper, as well as some earth and chocolate. This full-bodied beginning continues until the halfway mark, where the pepper tones down. Now is when cherry and chocolate take over. The final third is marked by cedar, earth, and more cherry. Not once does the cigar become overbearing or powerful, and it also never became dull or monotonous.
Overall, I have to say that the 5 Vegas High Primings Robusto was an excellent stick. It impressed me in all facets, and its flavors were among the best I have sampled. At just around $5 each, this is a cigar that is a great value. Pick up a pack of five or box of 20 if you are looking for something that is packed with a ton of flavor.
The 5 Vegas High Primings Robusto earns a rating of four out of four stars.
Alec Bradley Special Blends

While being a cigar enthusiast is certainly fun, it is not exactly cheap. Many cigars carry hefty price tags, so your wallet can take a hit each time you get the urge to purchase the latest and greatest stogie. Luckily, some quality brands do keep the finances of cigar fans in mind, such as Alec Bradley. The brand’s Special Blends line comes in bundles, which allows them to price it at a very affordable level. To see if the Special Blends is truly a good value, I picked out a 5 x 50 and decided to put it to the test.
Alec Bradley offers the Special Blends line in seven other sizes than the 5 x 50. These range in size from the miniature 4 x 41 all the way to the gargantuan 8 x 48. The Special Blends has a filler of Piloto Cubano and San Vicente Olor tobaccos, a Connecticut binder, and an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. This is a cigar suitable for beginners or fans of smooth smokes, as it is listed as being mild to medium-bodied in strength.
