When it comes to the flavor of The Fix, enjoyable is a good description. I wouldn't call it overly complex, but it is tasty. The first third is noted by chocolate and wood. The second third seems to get smoother with a lot of creaminess as well as some coffee. The rest of the way contains more chocolate flavor, as well as some sweetness.

Alec Bradley did it again with the Maxx. I've been a fan of the brand's smokes, and The Fix just adds to my positive impression. The cigar had a nice presentation, solid burn characteristics, and pleasant flavor. Surprisingly, The Fix was not as bold as I thought it would be, and it seemed to be more of a medium to full-bodied smoke. I think of it as more of a dessert due to the flavor combinations. I'd recommend it for experienced smokers or followers of the Alec Bradley brand looking for an after dinner treat. The same holds true for those who enjoy cigars with thicker ring gauges. At about $5 per single, The Fix seems like a good value as well. Look for it in packs of five or boxes of 20.

The Alec Bradley Maxx The Fix earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.

5 Vegas Limitada 2010

If you are perceptive when it comes to words/languages, you can tell that the 5 Vegas Limitada series is a limited edition release. 5 Vegas has made it a habit of releasing a new Limitada edition on an annual basis, and the 2010 version changed things up a bit by concentrating on Nicaraguan tobacco.

The 5 Vegas Limitada 2010 comes in just one size – a 6.2 x 52 Belicoso. That's not extremely uncommon when talking about limited edition cigars, although more options might have been nice. The cigar's filler consists of Nicaraguan Cuban Seed tobacco. The binder is Nicaraguan as well, and a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper completes the composition. As you can see, the Limitada 2010 is a Nicaraguan puro, and it is the first of its kind in the 5 Vegas Limitada series. Only aged tobaccos are used to construct the small batch cigar, and that is the main reason for its scarcity. In terms of strength, this stick is listed in the full-bodied category.
