The Nica Puro Churchill’s flavor begins with a mix of leather, earth, and cinnamon in the first third.  The second third offers more leather and cinnamon, as well as a sweet, fruity flavor that reminds me of raisins.  Some chocolate also comes into the picture.  The final third caps things off with chocolate, raisin, and nuts for a great finish.

Alec Bradley did it again with the Nica Puro Churchill.  This is a solid cigar through and through.  I was impressed from the start with the presentation, and that good impression continued with a good burn and delicious flavor.  I would recommend the Nica Puro to fans of the Alec Bradley brand, as well as those who enjoy Nicaraguan tobacco.  It has plenty of flavor to keep you entertained, and is not too mild nor too strong.  At $8 per single, the Nica Puro isn’t cheap, but you are getting your money’s worth.  I’d at least spring for a pack of five.  You can also find it in boxes of 20.

The Alec Bradley Nica Puro Churchill earns a rating of four out of four stars.

Room101 Namakubi Ecuador Papi Chulo

To extend its popular Namakubi line, Room101 decided to release the Namakubi Ecuador.  The line is said to be rather bold and very flavorful, which relays Room101’s entire mission of “pushing the boundaries” when it comes to flavor.  The high ratings of the original Namakubi have my hopes high for this Ecuadorian version, so let’s see if it actually delivers.

The Room101 Namakubi Ecuador Papi Chulo is the smallest format in the line. It measures 4 x 42.  Other sizes in the line include the 4.5 x 52 Filero, 5.5 x 50 Ranfla, and the humongous 8 x 60 Chingon.  The composition of the Namakubi Ecuador begins with a filler blend of Dominican and Honduran tobaccos.  A Corojo binder comes next, and a Habano wrapper finishes things off.  The strength of the Namakubi Ecuador is said to be medium to full-bodied.
