The most noticeable physical aspect of the Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve Churchill is its golden brown wrapper. The cigar has some oil and a couple of minimal veins that are visible. Its texture is rather smooth and feels firm to the touch. There are zero soft spots here. Construction seems to be solid overall, which is no surprise. A subtle band near the head displays the Occidental Reserve name and adds a nice aesthetic touch to the Churchill’s presentation. The slightly spicy scent and sweet cold taste are my final observations prior to lighting up.

After lighting the Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve Churchill with ease I experience a good draw. The ash is solid and white in color. The burn is slow and produces a lot of smoke. The burn stays even on its own throughout the entire smoking experience.

While the Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve Churchill is indeed mild, it does not lack flavor. It starts off with a burst of mild spice that is soon met by sweet notes. The second third offers notes that are sweet, creamy, and nutty, making it my favorite portion of the cigar. The Occidental Reserve wraps things up in the final third with more nuts and wood.

The Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve Churchill is definitely a solid smoke that is mild, smooth, and enjoyable. I can’t complain about the burn or presentation, and I was never truly bored by its flavor profile. I would recommend the Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve to beginners or anyone looking for an affordable, smooth cigar to enjoy throughout the day. A single sells for around $3, but if you pick up a bundle of 20 you can lower that price per stick even more, making this one cigar that is hard to pass up.

The Alec Bradley Occidental Reserve Churchill earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Occ.Reserve! Looking forward to trying that one. Sounds like a good everyday smoke.
