In terms of its burn, the Master Blends 3 is solid overall. The cigar produces long ash that is gray in color. The burn stays even without the need for touch-ups. Re-lighting is also unnecessary, and the draw is just right.

If there is one thing to say about the flavor concerning the Master Blends 3, it's that there is plenty of it. Right off the bat there's a burst of spicy pepper. This seems to hint that this could be one cigar that could be too much of a powerhouse. Luckily, the power simmers down considerably. The cigar becomes much smoother later on, with chocolatey and creamy flavors coming into play. A good amount of cedar also becomes noticeable, along with some tobacco flavor.

Oliva advertises the Master Blends 3 as somewhat of an elite offering from the brand. After sampling the cigar, I'd have to say they are accurate in that portrayal. The cigar is superb in all forms. It looks good, smokes good, and has plenty of flavor. The Master Blends 3 is a limited edition cigar, and that could explain its high price tag of around $11 per single. It also comes in packs of five or boxes of 20. While that price is high, the cigar is good enough to warrant at least a try. Even if you only want to splurge on a single, do so. Save it for a special occasion. The cigar is too strong for beginners, but if you love full-bodied smokes you should love the Master Blends 3 and all the flavor that it offers.

The Oliva Master Blends 3 Churchill earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
