In terms of flavor, I would venture to call the Alec Bradley Tempus Maduro full-flavored. Alec Bradley gets an A-plus in this department. It begins with some sweet notes that combine with mild spice in the first third. The second third picks up in strength and introduces a stronger pepper flavor as well as tasty chocolate and coffee. The final third gets smoother, featuring spice that is toned down, sweetness, chocolate, and cedar. I can say without fear of equivocation that this is one of the tastier cigars I have sampled. Strength appears to be in the medium to full-bodied range.

I have to give credit to Alec Bradley once again, as the brand really impressed me with the Tempus Maduro Imperator. The construction was solid and the burn was on the mark. Toss in the superb flavor and you have yourself a top-notch cigar. Price-wise, the Tempus Maduro Imperator sells for around $9 each, depending where you shop. It also comes in packs of five or boxes of 20. It is not cheap by any means, but it is quality all the way. Go ahead and splurge on a box if you enjoy the Alec Bradley brand or Maduro cigars.

The Alec Bradley Tempus Maduro Imperator earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.

Alec Bradley Spirit of Cuba Habano Churchill

Alec Bradley’s Spirit of Cuba line is one that supposedly offers a quality smoking experience at a price that is budget-friendly. For this review I will be sampling the Habano version, but you can also find the Spirit of Cuba in Natural and Corojo versions as well.

The Alec Bradley Spirit of Cuba Habano Churchill measures 7 x 48. It is one of three offerings in the line. The others include the 5 x 50 Robusto and the 6 1/8 x 52 Torpedo. The Spirit of Cuba Habano begins with a filler blend of tobaccos from Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua. The binder and wrapper are both Nicaraguan. The Spirit of Cuba Habano is a smooth cigar, and is officially listed as being mild to medium-bodied in strength.
