The Alec Bradley Spirit of Cuba Habano has an attractive appearance thanks to its medium brown wrapper. The band is a nice touch with its white, gold, green, and orange coloring that displays the Spirit of Cuba name and the Habano label. There are a few small veins that are visible, but no major imperfections. The cigar appears to be well-packed with tobacco as well. The pre-light aroma is spicy and so is the cold taste.
It doesn’t take much effort to light the Spirit of Cuba Habano Churchill, and once it gets going, it’s smooth sailing for the most part. The burn stays even with the exception of a couple times when it needs some touch-ups. There’s plenty of smoke and a mild aroma fills my smoking area throughout the slow burn. The ash is solid and light gray in color.
Complexity is lacking in the Alec Bradley Spirit of Cuba Habano, but it is one smooth and mild smoke. It stays mildly spicy in the first third and transitions to spicy and sweet in the second third. The final third is more sweetness along with some more spice and creamy notes.
The Alec Bradley Spirit of Cuba Habano Churchill did not blow me away, but it did provide a decent smoking experience. It was a mild, pleasant smoke. It’s a good choice for beginners as well as experienced smokers looking for something in the early morning that’s affordable.
