altHello once again to all of the cigar smokers out there.  Today’s reviews will focus on the medium-bodied Arturo Fuente Spanish Lonsdale Maduro and the full-bodied Kristoff Corojo Limitada.

Arturo Fuente Spanish Lonsdale Maduro

The Arturo Fuente brand has no shortage of highly rated cigars on the market, and with good reason, as they are known for putting out quality smokes.  The Spanish Lonsdale is one of those selections that is known for being a solid value and offering an enjoyable smoking experience.  I have had several Fuente cigars in the past, and pretty much all of them were satisfying.  Will the Spanish Lonsdale Maduro follow that tradition of positive impressions?  I hope it will.

The Arturo Fuente Spanish Lonsdale Maduro measures in at 6 1/2 x 42.  The cigar features a filler of Dominican tobacco.  Its binder is Dominican as well.  Topping it off is a Maduro wrapper, but you can also find the Spanish Lonsdale in a Natural version as well.  The strength of the Spanish Lonsdale Maduro is listed as medium-bodied.

The appearance of the Spanish Lonsdale Maduro is easy on the eyes.  Its wrapper is dark, which is to be expected with a Maduro-wrapped cigar.  There are a few medium-sized veins that are visible on the dark wrapper, and it has an oily sheen.  The cigar feels firm to the touch.  I detect no soft spots.  The smallish decorative bands dress up the Lonsdale nicely with their red, gold, and green colors.  It’s not a flashy cigar, but it does give off an aura of quality.  Before lighting, there’s a sweet aroma.  The cold taste is of cocoa.

The Spanish Lonsdale Maduro lights without much effort and has a decent draw.  There’s not a whole lot of smoke that is coming from the cigar.  It does produce more about halfway through the experience, however.  The ash is white and firm.  The burn is even for the most part and only requires a couple of small touch-ups.  Overall, I’d call the burn satisfactory.
