The Dual Wrap Guama is certainly an interesting cigar to look at.  The cigar’s bulge catches my eye at first, and my attention then shifts to the barber pole wrapper of Connecticut and Habano leaf.  The Dual Wrap has some medium sized veins and there’s not too much oil on the surface.  It feels very firm to the touch in all areas.  There is no decorative band.  The cigar has an earthy cold taste, while its aroma is very sweet.

The Dual Wrap Guama lights with ease and exhibits a burn that is a tad tight at the start.  It soon loosens up and produces plenty of smoke.   The ash is firm and gray in color.  Only a couple of minor touch-ups are needed.  Beyond that, the burn stays even on its own.  No re-lights are necessary.

The flavors of the Island Cigar Factory Dual Wrap Guama are enjoyable.  Sweet and cedar notes dominate the first third.  These remain in the second third, some earth and spice joining the mix.  I also notice some mild spice around the midway point.  The final third is a blend of sweetness, cedar, leather, and mild tobacco.  I’d put the cigar’s strength down as medium-bodied.

The Dual Wrap Guama from Island Cigar Factory intrigued me from the start with its appearance, and it did not disappoint once lit.  I’d recommend it if you are looking for something unique and enjoy smooth cigars.  A bundle of 25 cigars costs $125, which is not bad considering the quality of the product. I imagine it took some work to construct cigars with such a unique format.  Once again I’d like to thank Island Cigar Factory for the sampler.

The Island Cigar Factory Dual Wrap Guama earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.

Agree with this review. Wonderful cigar and I was quite surprised as far as how well it tasted and smoked! Not an extreme AF fan but this is a winner!
