avoavo limited edition 2012

The La Trompeta is quite smooth overall, and coffee is the first flavor that is noticed. The inclusion of coffee in the flavor profile was expected from what I got out of the pre-light inspection. Sweetness is the next flavor that comes into play, and it later gives way to some nutty flavors at the halfway point. The second half is a tasty mix of a kick of spice, coffee, and chocolate, as well as wood to cap things off.

The AVO Limited Edition 2012 is a superb cigar all around. It's one cigar that is fun to look over for a while before smoking. It just looks that good. Beyond its attractive exterior, the La Trompeta also delivered with a solid burn and plenty of complexity. Now, this is a very limited cigar, so getting your hands on one may not be too easy. It also costs a pretty penny at around $15 per single, and comes in packs of five or boxes of ten. Despite the price tag, give the La Trompeta a try if you enjoy flavorful cigars that are smooth and feature just a bit of a spicy kick.

The AVO Limited Edition 2012 La Trompeta earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.

5 Vegas Limitada 2012

5-vegas-20121

5 Vegas has been dishing out its popular Limitada line for many years now, so it is no surprise that the company decided to continue the line for 2012. The 2012 edition represents the eighth Limitada release from 5 Vegas, and just like its predecessors, it comes with a unique composition. With production set at just 500 boxes of 25, I decided to run out and pick one up for myself before it was too late.

The 5 Vegas Limitada 2012 comes in a Belicoso format that measures 6 1/4 x 52. It is the only format available in the line. The cigar's filler consists of a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos. Its binder is also Nicaraguan and comes from the nation’s fertile island of Ometepe. Wrapping things up is an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. As for the Limitada 2012’s strength, it is said to be medium to full-bodied.
