Boutique Blends Six Zero and the Azan Burgundy go under the microscope for today’s reviews on Puff.com.  Do they pass the test?  Keep reading to find out.

Boutique Blends Six Zero Gigante

Rafael Nodal of Boutique Blends is the man responsible for the Six Zero line.  He had plenty of success with his Aging Room Small Batch line, and the same can be said for the Six Zero which saw a surge in popularity shortly after its release.  Since I enjoyed the Aging Room Small Batch, I decided that the Six Zero would be worth a try.  Considering the affordable price of this, I hope it offers a quality smoking experience so that I can add it to my regular rotation as an everyday smoke.

I decided to go with the Gigante format for this review, which measures 6 x 60.  Other sizes in the Six Zero line include the 4 ½ x 60 Robolo and the 7 x 60 Massivo.  The cigar’s composition begins with a filler blend of Dominican Havano tobacco and ends with a San Andres Maduro wrapper. The strength of the Six Zero is listed as being medium-bodied.

The Boutique Blends Six Zero is a good looking cigar.  I really like its decorative band that displays the Six Zero moniker over some ornate graphics that include a crowned figure in the center.  The metallic accents in the mostly black band look nice against the medium-brown wrapper.  I notice little oil on the surface.  There are a few small veins here and there.  The Six Zero feels firm to the touch, and construction seems solid overall.  Prior to lighting, I pick up an aroma of mild tobacco.  The cold taste is sweet.

Once in action, the Six Zero Gigante burns like a charm.  The draw is good and the cigar produces plenty of thick smoke.  Just one minor touch-up is needed.  Re-lights are not necessary.  The light colored ash is firm and hangs for over an inch.  Smoking time is right around 90 minutes total.
