If you like pleasant surprises, have we got a cigar for you.
If you like pleasant surprises, have we got a cigar for you. Rumored as seconds from the Romeo Y Julieta Vintage factory, this cigar is what cigar smoking is all about. Well at least what we'd like to see it about from now and then, bang for the buck.
Whether or not these are seconds from RyJ, doesn't seem to matter to our raters. (and who cares now that Tabacalera's making RyJ Vintage anyway) The unanimous vote was that this was a perfect little cigar. Great ash, smooth taste and draw, we didn't find one dissenting voice. The wrapper was light, and clear, a nice example of Connecticut Broadleaf. The burn of the cigars were ridiculously even. Flavor is what seemed to stick in the mind of our reviewers, with comments like "smooth and consistent throughout", "not a cigar you taste the next morning", and " a flavor that made me smile".
We really got a kick out of checking out the Cigar Aficionado rating for this smoke. The magazine gave it an average to poor rating, but all the reader comments on their site praised it as fantastic!?
The price of the cigar listed below is on the high side. We purchased a box of 25 for $53 over the internet, so bargains are available. There getting tougher to find, searches may be in order.
As you can see we again don't agree with the T25C rating of around 600, but hopefully you'll try some of these and help bring that up.
This cigar is without a doubt worth the price.
