Light sheen. Punched cleanly. |

Comments:
This is a very well made cigar. Thick, well packed with dark, rich
tobacco. |
Pre-light Aroma and
Flavor:
The aroma and pre-light flavor was surprisingly sweet and rich. |
Burn:
Very even, Excellent. Classic thick ash. Never burned too hot, never went
out. |
Drink:
none |
Smoking Notes:
It started off slightly sweet and spicy as maduros generally do, but then
it mellowed into something earthier and more complex. It was a classic
smoke. I enjoyed every minute of it. Good nicotine content too - zing! |
Overall Experience and Rating:
A. I'm not generally a maduro smoker. I usually find them too strong, but
this cigar made a convert out of me. Remind me what kind it was, and what
they go for, I'm going to buy a box of these. The aroma and pre-light
flavor were surprisingly sweet and rich; it really made me want to smoke
this corona (or double corona). When I fired it up I discovered a muscular
smoke with lots of flavor that just kept getting better and better as the
smoke progressed. I was sorry when it ended. Thanks for this one! |

Reviewer 4: zitotczito Rating: B |
Construction Comments:
The cigar had a nice dark brown wrapper, fairly smooth with some veins.
The cigar was firm with no soft spots and nice looking in appearance. |
Pre-light Aroma and Flavor:
Straight cut that was a little rough but no pieces in my mouth on the
pre-light draw. The aroma was rich and ever so slightly sweet. |
Burn:
White/gray solid ash. Even with the slight veins, the burn was straight
and no touch ups needed. Smoke volume was excellent. |
Drink:
Diet Dr. Pepper |
Smoking Notes:
Again the smoke volume was excellent which I am sure is from the
effortless, smooth and easy draw. I hate cigars that I have to work at.
The cigar had a woody/earthy flavor and a little pepper in the beginning.
The cigar was consistent throughout though not overly complex. It had a
nice finish on the back of the throat throughout the smoke. The burn was
true, it remained cool and no bitterness was detected. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
I liked this cigar, the burn was very good, the flavor a consistent
woody/earthy taste. This cigar is not the best looking girl at the dance,
but dance with her I would, again and again. There was a little zing of
pepper at the beginning, slightly sweet and medium in strength. I rate
this cigar a B due to the lack of complexity. |

Comments:
At first glance, this cigar had many flaws. It does look like it was not a
first quality. Very veiny and many imperfections. |
Pre-light Aroma and
Flavor:
Nice |
Burn:
Nice |
Drink:
Water & Vodka Shots |
Smoking Notes:
At first glance, this cigar had many flaws. It does look like it was not a
first quality. Very veiny and many imperfections. The funny thing was that
if you turned the cigar over, it looked near perfect – so it must have
been seen by QC with the nice side facing up. It was a very dark, oily
wrapper, so I chose this one FIRST! It had a nice easy cut, and the torch
just was absorbed by the hot blue flame. (I'm getting a chubby - just
thinking about it ... hahaha) The draw was near perfect! Easy to get some
thick smoke. The flavor was delish! It even had a slight sweetness to it.
Looking like a Maduro, this would be hit or miss with me. I tend to like
about 30% of maduros ... and well ... The other 70% just are
non-enjoyable. The ash on this smoke was quite beautiful and it burned
perfect the entire length of the smoking experience. Even thick ash and
didn’t even drop till half way through the smoke. IMHO I believe this is
the true sign of a freaking WELL ROLLED LEAF!! Near the last ¼ of the
smoke I tried to clear it’s bitterness out, but even purging it, left me
too much hot-pepper-bitterness to enjoy any longer. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
If this smoke had not had so many issues with its aesthetics, I would have
ranked this a solid B+ to A-. So for over all - this fine surprising smoke
does receive a "B". |
