The CAO Anniversaire Napoleon definitely grew on most of the rating group. Luckily everybody got a couple of samples of this cigar! The CAO Anniversaire Napoleon definitely grew on most of the rating group. This has to be one of the most beautiful cigars made today. Everything from the rich, dark wrapper to the gold and red band make this the "Cindy Crawford" of cigars. The wrapper is oily, and veiny, but not in an unattractive way. Top shelf humidor value here, it's nice to look at when you open the lid. T he construction of this cigar was...well...nobody really noted much about the construction. No complaints, I'll take that as a positive. This cigar had a great aroma, and lit perfectly. The standard early uneven burn from figurados was present, but quickly corrected itself. The burn and ash were fun to watch, as the ash was "new bride" white, reminiscent of the classic Cuban cigars. The taste was interesting, as most of the reviewers weren't sure if they liked it after their first cigar. That changed when most people lit up #2, the reviews poured in positive. A stealthy strong taste, it kind of sneaks up on you. A couple folk noticed a strong aftertaste, but nothing causing them to hit the Listerine. About the only bad thing one could say about this cigar, it that you risk going cross-eyed by staring at this beauty while your smoking it. Give this a try. Vital Statistics: Shape = Perfecto Length = 4 3/4" RG = 52 Wrapper = Long Maduro Connecticut Broadleaf Filler = Dominican Republic, Nicaragua Binder = Ecuador Estimated Cost = $6.50
