The Espinosa Habano Robusto is an attractive cigar thanks to its silky Habano wrapper.  It has a dark brown color with just the right amount of oil on the surface.  The wrapper alone makes this cigar very inviting.  There are a few veins that are visible, but it appears to be smooth has solid overall construction.  The cigar feels firm to the touch for the most part, with just a bit of give.  An attractive red, white, blue, and gold band sits near the head that displays the Espinosa name and logo.  There’s also a band at the foot that let’s you know that this cigar was made at “La Zona.”  Both bands look great and do a good job of adding to the appearance.  There's a pre-light aroma and cold taste of chocolate, so I should be in for a smooth ride.

After being lit, the Robusto exhibits a solid burn.  The draw is just right, and light-colored ash is formed.  The burn stays even on its own without the need for any touch-ups.  It also manages to stay lit until the end.  Smoking time is just north of an hour and a half.

The flavor department is where the Habano Edition seems to impress the most.  It kicks off with a faint note of pepper.  It then transitions into a combination of sweetness and chocolate that dominate the second third.  A tad of fruit is also noticeable, and it ends with more sweetness and chocolate once again in the final third.  As advertised, this is one smooth smoke.

The Espinosa Habano is a quality cigar.  Its inviting appearance was a plus, and its burn was free of any negative issues as well.  The flavors were a nice mix, especially for someone looking for a smooth experience that strays from being monotonous.  I would recommend it to either beginners or experienced smokers looking for a quality cigar for earlier in the day.  At around $5 per single, I consider the Espinosa Habano to be fairly priced.  Look for it in boxes of 20 and packs of five.

The Espinosa Habano Robusto earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
