It comes as no surprise that the first thing I notice about the Piramide Supra’s appearance is it large stature.  This is not a cigar for the faint of heart, and you will get noticed when smoking something this big.  The medium-brown wrapper has some oil on the surface and a few veins here and there.  The cigar feels heavy in my hand (no surprise there) and feels firm to the touch.  The band near the head displays the La Gloria Cubana logo and name over a yellow, gold, red, and white color scheme.  I’ll add that I really like the company’s logo, as it has a classic look that reminds me of the early 20th century.  The Piramide Supra has a spicy flavor before lighting.  Its aroma, meanwhile, is of cedar and grass.

The Piramide Supra lights with ease and has a draw that is not too tight and not too loose.  The cigar produces plenty of thick, cool smoke.  Some minor touch-ups are needed occasionally to give the burn corrections, but other than that, there are no major issues.  The gray ash is long and solid.  Smoking time is over two hours for this baby, so make sure you have plenty of time on your hands to enjoy it.

The flavor of the La Gloria Cubana Piramide Supra starts off spicy.  This jolt of spice is joined by earth and cedar in the first third.  The second third moves into full-bodied territory and gives me a little buzz.  Leather, earth, and nuts are also detected at this point.  The final third ends things on a smoother note with sweetness, chocolate, and nuts.

After the Piramide Supra was finally finished, I can say that it was an enjoyable cigar.  The size was definitely a bit much, but if you are into large cigars that are flavorful then you should definitely take a look at the Piramide Supra.  This is a cigar for experienced smokers due to its strength.  You can find a single for around $8, or purchase the Piramide Supra in packs of five or boxes of 10.

The La Gloria Cubana Piramide Supra earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.

If one can admit to having an enjoyable experience after a two hour smoke, then it must be real good. The LGC is a great brand though, and it's expected.
