In terms of the cigar’s flavor, I find the Cohiba XV 550 to offer a nice dose of complexity. Personally, I believe it has just enough of a variety of flavors to keep things interesting throughout the duration of the smoke. It begins with a burst of bold spice right off the bat which combines with a citrus flavor in the first third. The second third offers more strong spice, along with chocolate and coffee. The final third is a blend of spice, leather, and wood. While this is a strong smoke, it is not overbearing.
The Cohiba XV 550 is another solid smoke from the brand. Pick one up if you enjoy Dominican Cohiba cigars, or are looking for something full-bodied and flavorful. Beginners should stay away, as it is probably too strong. At $11 per single, it’s a pricy stick, but look for one on sale to give it a try on a special occasion. You can also find the XV 550 in packs of five or boxes of 20.
The Cohiba XV 550 earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
