The Partagas Spanish Rosado Mitico gives off a solid first impression thanks to its attractive reddish brown wrapper. It is quite oily and only has a few small veins that are noticeable to the naked eye. Other than that, there are no major imperfections. The cigar feels firm to the touch with no soft spots. Prior to lighting, there's a sweet aroma and a spicy cold taste that contrast one another nicely.
Once in action, the Partagas Spanish Rosado burns well for the most part. The burn stays even with the exception of a couple of times when touch-ups are needed. The draw is good and there's a nice volume of thick smoke that is produced. Solid gray ash rounds out the satisfactory burn characteristics of the Spanish Rosado Mitico, which burns for around 90 minutes, so make sure you have plenty of free time on your hands to enjoy it.
The Partagas Spanish Rosado has a nice amount of flavor underneath the hood. It begins with some sweetness, similar to that hinted in the pre-light inspection. The sweetness is the main flavor of the first third, until the cigar transitions to a mild spicy flavor that is reminiscent of cinnamon. The second third kicks things into another gear with stronger pepper and some citrus. The final third is characterized by more pepper that finally gives way to creaminess. While full-bodied, the Spanish Rosado Mitico never becomes too harsh or overpowering, just as it promised.
Is the Partagas Spanish Rosado Mitico the best cigar I have ever had? No, but it is respectable. Its appearance, burn, and flavor all passed the test. I would not recommend it to beginners, but experienced smokers should enjoy the Spanish Rosado Mitico and its variety of flavors. At around $6 per single, it is fairly priced. You can also find the cigar in boxes of 25 or packs of five.
The Partagas Spanish Rosado Mitico earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
