Even on a gloomy rainy day, there is a gold lining. I
just finished a Cusano 18 - What a great little smoke.
It's starts with Dominican Oro leaves, harvested over 18 years ago and combined
with Cuban Piloto leaf. Surround this great blend with Connecticut shade binder,
and Connecticut shade wrapper leaf, You have a smooth, cigar with taste just
expolding out of it.
I got one of the Robusto Double Connecticut (5 x 50) and enjoyed this one from
start to finish. From the second you light this one, there is billowing clouds
of thick white smoke and lots of flavor. I didn't catch any one characteristic
that stood out, just robust, steady enjoyment. The draw was great and the burn
was even and slow. Toward the end, the taste intensified but it's wasn't harsh.
Just a flavorful medium smoke that makes you want to grab another...bummer I
only got one at CIGARfest...
