The flavor of the M1 can be described as very creamy. There is not much complexity to be experienced, but if you love creamy, smooth cigars, then your wishes are answered with the M1. The first third has a lot of sweetness and creamy notes. This continues until the final third, where some coffee kicks in. There's not too much variety, but what is there is easy on the palate. The M1 is definitely a mild cigar.

If you are looking for a cigar with full flavor, the Cusano M1 Robusto is not for you. The same holds true for fans of full-bodied sticks. This is a mild cigar all the way, and you better like creaminess because that seems to be its dominant theme. The M1's distinction as a bundled cigar does help a lot with the price tag. A single can be found for around $3, while a bundle of 20 falls in the $50 range. At that price, you can afford to have the M1 Robusto as an everyday smoke. It's not the most memorable cigar, but it is affordable and a nice complement to a cup of coffee. Beginners can use it to ween themselves as well. You can also pick up a bundle to keep handy for when your buddies come over.

The Cusano M1 Robusto earns a rating of 3.25 out of four stars.

Tatuaje Ambos Mundos Robusto No. 1 Habano

tatambospic1

Ambos Mundos translates to both worlds in English. Maybe Tatuaje's Pete Johnson slapped that name onto this line for the fact that it's affordable and tasty. Maybe he gave it that name because it's offered in two different wrappers. Regardless, whenever you can get the best of both worlds in anything in life, it's a good thing. The Ambos Mundos is a joint venture between Pete Johnson and Don Pepin Garcia. The line is more affordable than the usual Tatuaje fare because it is made from lower grade tobaccos. While this affect the cigar's overall quality? I hope not, because Tatuaje usually makes some pretty good sticks. Let's light one up and see how it grades out.

The Ambos Mundos Robusto No. 1 Habano measures 5 x 50. The Habano version also comes in a 5 ½ x 56 Grande No. 1 and a 6 x 50 Toro No. 1 size. The cigar's filler and binder are both Nicaraguan. Its wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano. Tatuaje also offers the Ambos Mundos with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. It is offered in the following sizes: the 5 x 50 Robusto No. 2, the 5 ½ x 56 Grande No. 2, and the 6 x 50 Toro No. 2. The Ambos Mundos Habano is handmade in Nicaragua and is characterized as being medium-bodied in strength.
