If I had to pick one word to describe the flavor of the Don Tomas Clasico, it would be satisfactory. It’s not the most complex cigar I’ve ever had, but it is smooth and enjoyable. The first third is a blend of wood and spice. The second third continues with the spice and is also creamy. I detect some wood here as well. The final third is a mix of creaminess, mild tobacco, and chocolate. Medium-bodied is the perfect description for the Clasico’s strength.
While the Don Tomas Clasico did not wow me, I cannot complain. The cigar exhibited a solid construction and burn, and its flavors kept me satisfied. I’d call it a solid pick for an everyday cigar due to its smooth nature. It’s also a decent choice for beginners. At $4 to $5 per single, the Clasico is a good value. Pick up a pack of five or box of 25 to keep handy for your golfing outings or just for lounging around the house.
The Don Tomas Clasico Robusto earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
Don Tomas Maduro Robusto

Remember that Maduro version of the Don Tomas Clasico I discussed in the review right above? Well, this is it. The Maduro version is said to be a bit stronger than the Clasico with the Honduran Havana Seed wrapper, so let’s see how it fares.
The Don Tomas Maduro Robusto measures 5 1/2 x 50. Other sizes in the Maduro line include the 4 1/8 x 32 Coronitas, 4 1/2 x 50 Rothschild, and the 7 1/2 x 50 Presidente. Just like the Clasico, the Maduro has a filler of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The major difference between the two is that the Maduro comes with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. While it is said to be stronger than the Clasico, its strength is listed as medium-bodied as well.
