The Sosegado's appearance is easy on the eyes. It has a medium-brown wrapper with a light reddish hue. It's also quite oily, especially when viewed under direct light. There are a few veins that show, and I notice no true imperfections. The cigar seems to be constructed well overall. It's also very firm to the touch. An eye-catching band sits near the head that showcases the Bravo Sosegado name and the company logo. Its red and yellow colors are highlighted by some gold accents. The band also denotes that the cigar is 100 percent Colombian. Before lighting, there's a cold taste that is leathery. The aroma, on the other hand, is of wood.

After being lit, the cigar burns well. It manages to stay even by itself until the very end. The draw is perfect, and some solid gray ash is formed. No re-lights are needed. The burn is a bit on the quick side, with smoking time sitting at just over an hour.

The flavors held within the Bravo Sosegado Toro are good. The cigar starts off with some earthy tones that quickly shift into those of wood and cedar. Some sweetness makes an appearance, as does leather in the next third. The last third is a blend of notes that are sweet and creamy, as well as a hint of coffee.

Well, for my first 100 percent Colombian cigar, the Bravo Sosegado was a success.  I enjoyed its appearance and construction, and the flavors were just enough to keep me interested.  While it is mild, the Sosegado is not monotonous.  I could see it as a nice complement to some Colombian coffee early in the morning.  A single is $8, which is a bit high, but if you are looking to try something new, give the Sosegado a shot.

The Bravo Sosegado Toro receives a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
