E.P. Carrillo Club 52
The Club 52 is part of E.P. Carrillo’s Core Line. I’ve had some enjoyable experiences with cigars from this brand in the past, so I am expecting this Club 52 to be no different.
The E.P. Carrillo Club 52 measures 5 7/8 x 52. E.P. Carrillo also offers the Core Line in seven other sizes to accommodate a wide variety of tastes. The Club 52 has a filler made up of tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The binder is Nicaraguan, and the cigar's composition is capped off with an Ecuadorian wrapper. Strength-wise, the cigar is listed as being medium to full-bodied.
As I give the E.P. Carrillo Club 52 a quick look, I must say that it has an impressive appearance. The cigar is light brown in color and is slightly oily. The band near the head is displays the E.P. Carrillo name and logo in gold, red, yellow, black, and white. The Club 52 has a smooth texture with some minor veins running throughout. The cigar feels firm to the touch and has no soft spots. Overall, the construction is solid. Before lighting, there's an earthy aroma and a sweet cold taste.
After striking the Club 52 with a match, the cigar burns well. The draw is just right and produces a decent amount of smoke. The ash is solid and gray in color. The burn is even from start to finish for the most part, requiring only a couple touch-ups.
