I’m impressed right from the start with the presentation of the CAO Flavours Bella Vanilla.  The cigar comes in a cedar sheath that covers most of its body.  There’s also a band near the head that showcases the Flavours Bella Vanilla name.  The yellow color of the band meshes well with the cigar and gives off an aura that this is a mild smoke, which it is.  The wrapper has a medium-brown color that is very inviting.  Just a bit of oil can be noticed on the surface when the cigar is under direct light.  Only a few small veins are visible, and the Bella Vanilla has very few imperfections.  Touching the cigar from top to bottom tells me that it's pretty firm and well packed.  Before lighting, the Bella Vanilla has a cold taste of cherry and a rather sweet scent.

Although the Bella Vanilla looks great, its burn is not perfect.  The draw is fine, and some solid gray ash is produced.  The burn does require more than a few touch-ups along the way.  Smoking time is just over an hour.

The flavor department is a decent one for this CAO Flavours offering.  Sweetness is detected first, and there is also a mild tobacco flavor that joins the mix.  The vanilla flavor then pops in at the start of the second third, along with some nuts.  The final third is the mildest of them all, and it is creamy and sweet.

There’s not a whole lot to say about the CAO Flavours Bella Vanilla, other than it’s a very mild cigar.  This could turn experienced smokers off, but it does make it a good choice if you are just starting out.  The cigar doesn’t feature a lot of complexity, and its burn was not perfect.  With that being said, I would probably smoke another one if found on sale, as it’s a decent complement to a cup of coffee.  A single hovers around $6, and you can find it in boxes of 20 where a single averages out to around $3.50 each.  At that price, I would definitely pick one up.  For $6 each, probably not.

The CAO Flavours Bella Vanilla earns a rating of three out of four stars.
