The flavor of the E.P. Carrillo Inch Natural is pretty good. I won’t call it a home run in the flavor department, but what appears is enjoyable. Cedar and pepper kick off the smoking experience, and these two flavors extend into the second third. Some sweetness also comes into play at the halfway point. The final third offers creaminess, sweetness, and coffee. Strength-wise, it seemed to be medium to full-bodied. Not too strong, and not too mild.
If you are looking for cigars with large ring gauges, the E.P. Carrillo Inch line is not a bad place to start. The cigar offered solid construction, burn, and good flavor overall. I was tempted to try the No. 64, but decided it would be too thick for my tastes. You can find a single in the $8 range, and the Inch is also sold in packs of five or boxes of 24. I’d at least try a single. Whether you want to take the plunge on a box is up to you. Either way, I can definitely say that the Inch No. 60 is solid.
The E.P. Carrillo Inch No. 60 earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
E.P. Carrillo Cardinal Natural 52

The E.P. Carrillo Cardinal Natural is another 2012 release from the brand. It was originally put on display at the 2012 IPCPR show in Orlando, and finally hit retailers last month. The Cardinal’s claim to fame is that it is supposed to be the most full-bodied selection from E.P. Carrillo. I’m taking note of this and am about to try the Cardinal Natural 52 on a full stomach.
The E.P. Carrillo Cardinal Natural 52 measures 5 x 52. There are two other sizes in the line – the 6 x 54 “54” and the 5 1/2 x 56 “56”. The cigar’s interior consists of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. It’s exterior, on the other hand, consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The E.P. Carrillo Cardinal also comes in a Maduro wrapper for some added variety. As mentioned, this is supposedly the most full-bodied release from E.P. Carrillo to date.
