The flavor department is where the New Wave Connecticut Edition seems to impress the most. It kicks off with a faint note of fruit. It then transitions into a combination of spice and nuts that dominate the second third. A tad of cedar is also noticeable, and it ends with spice once again in the final third. As advertised, this is one creamy smoke.
The New Wave Connecticut Edition is a quality cigar. It's inviting appearance was a plus, and its burn was free of any negative issues as well. The flavors were a nice mix, especially for someone looking for a smooth experience. Beginners would probably enjoy this E.P. Carrillo release, but more experienced smokers may find it to be too mild. A single Divinos retails for just over $6, and other sizes in the line sell for between $4.50 and $7. I'd say that's a fair price range for the quality you are receiving. As mentioned earlier, if you are looking for something to enjoy early in the day with a cup of coffee, the New Wave Connecticut Edition is not a bad choice at all.
The E.P. Carrillo New Wave Connecticut Edition Divinos earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
Hoyo de Monterrey Hoyo de Tradicion

Hoyo de Monterrey is one cigar brand that has been around for quite a long time. The brand was introduced in 1865 and is still going strong to this day. The Hoyo de Tradicion line was created to not only honor Hoyo de Monterrey's traditional taste, but also as an offering to fans of smoother cigars.
The Hoyo de Tradicion Toro measures 6 x 52. The line also comes in a few other vitolas: the Corona, Epicure, and Toro Grande. In terms of composition, each Hoyo de Tradicion Toro comes with a filler blend of tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The binder is of the Habano Connecticut variety. A Jamastran Viso Rosado wrapper from Honduras finishes off the cigar. The Hoyo de Tradicion is said to fall into the medium-bodied category of strength.
