The Dominicana Serie Especial C has a very mild appearance thanks to its light brown wrapper. The band is a nice touch with its blue, beige, gold, and red coloring that displays the Felipe Gregorio logo. There are a few small veins that are visible, but no major imperfections. The cigar appears to be well-packed with tobacco as well. The pre-light aroma of sweetness is inviting, as is the nutty cold taste.
It doesn’t take much to light the Felipe Gregorio Dominicana, and once it gets going, it’s all smooth sailing. The burn line stays even from beginning to end. No touch-ups or re-lights are needed. There’s plenty of smoke and a mild aroma fills my smoking area. The ash is solid and light in color.
Complexity is lacking in the Felipe Gregorio Dominicana, but it is one smooth and mild smoke. It stays sweet and creamy in the first third and transitions to sweet and nutty in the second third. The final third is more creaminess along with some earth.
The Felipe Gregorio Dominicana Serie Especial C did not blow me away, but I didn’t expect it to. I got exactly what I envisioned, which was a mild, pleasant smoke. The burn was by far the best aspect. With a price of around $2 to $3 per single, you can enjoy the Dominicana as an everyday smoke. It’s a good choice for beginners as well as experienced smokers looking for something in the early morning.
The Gregorio Dominicana Serie Especial C earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
