Construction
Comments:
Very well constructed. |
Pre-light
Aroma and Flavor:
Sweet & chocolately. Hell Yeah!! |
Burn:
Razor sharp. |
Drink:
Sugar-free Grape Koolaid. |
Smoking Notes:
I hate Churchills!! I usually get bored as hell about halfway & want to
pitch them. Not this guy. He was good to the nub!! Sweet, spicy, cocoa,
nutty, creamy, it had ‘em all…& that was just the first few puffs!! It
finally settled into a nice slightly spicy & earthy medium smoke about
halfway through with a long finish that kept me puffing until it burnt my
fingers. The only gripe I had was it did NOT produce a ton of smoke.
Flavor was still good, but smoke volume was poor. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
I really enjoyed the flavor of this cigar & am excited to find out what it
was so I can get more. Even though, the top-notch construction & overall
quality leads me to believe it is on the expensive side. If it would have
produced more smoke it would be an easy A, but since I had to work a
little harder than I like, I give it a B+. |

Reviewer 2: Slowburning Rating: C+ |
Construction Comments:
Firm, heavy in hand, no soft spot. Smooth and oily wrapper. |
Pre-light Aroma and Flavor:
Woody with a little sweet aroma. |
Burn:
Even burn, with occasional distraction, but no touch up needed. |
Drink:
Coffee |
Smoking Notes:
After the first puff, I really didn’t know what to make of this cigar. It
had this woody but kind of foul taste in my mouth. Fortunately, the foul
taste disappeared after a few more puffs, replacing with a little sweet
taste after each puff. Other flavors include light notes of nuts, cocoa,
and earthly. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
Cigar was mild-medium strength. The wrapper looked good enough to eat. If
it wasn’t for the foul taste in the beginning, I would rate this cigar
higher. C+ |

Rating: D |
Construction
Comments:
Construction and appearance seems fine. |
Pre-light Aroma and
Flavor:
A little nutty. Slightly tight prelight draw. Xikar cut. |
Burn:
Lit up well. burned nicely, drawwas a little on the tight side. Firm white
ash. |
Drink:
Tea |
Smoking Notes:
The cigar seemed to be well constructed. But I gotta say, there was
nothing there as far as taste is concerned. It has been a while since I
smoked a cigar this bland. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
Well, as you can't tell, this was not the best experience I have had with
a cigar. Although the construction and burn were acceptable, this stick
showed me nothing in the taste department. No complexity, no spice, no
innate sweetness. I asked myself afterwards....What just happened?? I give
this one a D for Dull. |

Reviewer 4: 19redwings Rating: B- |
Construction Comments:
Somewhat veiny. Couple of slightly soft spots. |
Pre-light Aroma and Flavor:
Very pleasant, earthy! |
Burn:
Very consistent, white ash that gave way to grey ash about ½” from the
burn line. |
Drink:
Vodka - Tonic |
Smoking Notes:
More mellow than the prelight would suggest. Somewhat on the sweet side.
Somewhat of a tight draw, but not bothersome. Cigar got stronger/richer as
I smoked it. Along the lines of an RP edge. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
B- |

Charlie Rating: A+ |
Construction
Comments:
Excellent construction, with dark, strong wrapper. Well binded cigar keeps
its consistency from cut to nub. |
Pre-light Aroma and
Flavor:
Strong, almost like a Maduro. Hints of nuts and cedar. |
Burn:
Exceptional. Consistent. |
Drink:
None |
Smoking Notes:
This big churchill provided a long, sensuous, smoke which released a
variety of flavors as it matured down to a nub. (yes, I liked it THAT
much). It took a good long time to burn down this baby, and we we got down
to the last third, I marveled at how its construction and burn remained
smooth and consistent, without heating up. I generally prefer a Robusto or
Corona while playing golf, but this cigar has led me to re-examine that.
It kept me company a good long time, and I enjoyed every puff. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
This was an A plus experience. Like a good book, I was a little sad when
it was finished. I'd be happy to buy a box of these - if only they sold
the time to savor this kind of stick frequently. |
