nat shermannat sherman host selection hampton

The smooth, inviting appearance of the Host Selection Hampton definitely fits its whole “mild” mantra.  The golden brown wrapper is a tad oily and has very few veins.  The cigar feels nice and solid in my hand and with no soft spots.  A small band near the head displays the Nat Sherman name above the logo of a clock.  The turquoise, gold, and red color scheme contrasts nicely against the light colored wrapper.  The pre-light aroma is sweet, while the cold taste is earthy with a touch of hay.

If I had to describe the burn of the Host Selection Hampton in a word, it would be perfect.  The cigar lights with ease and offers up a nice draw and tons of smoke.  The ash is long and gray.  No touch-ups or re-lights are needed.

While the burn of the Nat Sherman Host Selection was smooth, its flavor is even smoother.  It begins with a first third that’s sweet, creamy, and slightly spicy.  This trio continues into the second third where earth appears.  The final third finishes up with cream, sweetness, and delicious vanilla.

I haven’t had many Nat Sherman cigars in the past, but the ones I have smoked have offered favorable experiences, and the Host Selection continues that trend.  It’s a good looking cigar with a wonderful burn and an extremely smooth flavor profile.  I’d recommend it to both beginners and experienced smokers seeking something mild and pleasing to the palate.  Would it make a great morning cigar?  You bet it would, and I’m looking forward to smoking some with my cup of Joe in the future.  A single will cost you $5 to $6, and you can also find the Host Selection in packs of five or boxes of 25.

The Nat Sherman Host Selection Hampton earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.
