As I give the Perdomo Habano Maduro Toro a quick look, I must say that it has an impressive presentation. The cigar is dark brown in color and is very oily. The band near the head displays the Perdomo logo and the Habano name over some very intricate graphics. The band at the foot displays the Maduro name. Both bands have a beige color that stands out against the dark wrapper. The Habano Maduro has a smooth texture with some medium-sized running throughout. The cigar feels firm to the touch and has zero soft spots. Overall, the construction is excellent. Before lighting, there's a sweet aroma and a spicy cold taste.
After striking the Perdomo Habano Maduro with a match, the cigar burns well, just as expected. The draw is just right and produces a nice volume of smoke. The ash is solid in nature and gray in color. Only one touch-up is needed. No re-lights are necessary.
Moving into the flavor department of the Perdomo Habano Maduro Toro, I notice a great amount of complexity. The first third offers some pop with spicy pepper that is toned down later on by sweetness. The second third offers pepper, creaminess, and coffee. The final third is sweet, and also provides leather and chocolate.
Smoking the Perdomo Habano Maduro Toro was an enjoyable experience. The cigar caught me from the start with its presentation and beautiful bands, and it continued to impress with the burn and various flavors. At approximately $6 to $7 per single, it’s not the cheapest cigar you will find, but you do get what you pay for. Look for it in packs of five or boxes of 20. Pick one up if you are looking for a Maduro that is full-flavored and full-bodied.
The Perdomo Habano Maduro Toro earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.
