If you happen to fall for cigars with elegant decorations, you'll fall in love with the Mi Amor Magnifico. It has two bands that really stand out against the dark wrapper. The top band is large and displays the La Aroma de Cuba name and logo. The woman in the center of the band and all the ornate graphics give the cigar a vintage look. The band right beneath it is smaller and is stamped with the Mi Amor label. The dark wrapper has just a bit of oil and appears to be smooth overall. There are a few tiny veins that are visible, but that is it. The Magnifico feels firm to the touch, and its box-pressed shape looks great. The cigar has a pre-light aroma that is spicy, while its cold taste is sweet.
There are no negative issues to report in the burn department. The Magnifico has a nice draw, and it produces solid white ash. The cigar burns slowly and evenly. Only one touch-up is needed. The burn is solid overall.
It's really no surprise that the Mi Amor Magnifico has great flavor. After all, Don Pepin Garcia is the man behind it, and he has produced many wonderful cigars over time. A good dose of pepper is noticed right off the bat, and it is later evened out by some sweetness. Cedar is introduced in the second third, as is some rich coffee. The final third is the best, as it features a blend of earth and delicious chocolate.
In short, the La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Magnifico was very enjoyable. It's nice bands caught my eye from the start, and the burn was mostly free of trouble. The variety of flavors were excellent and offered some nice transitions as well. Fans of smooth, medium-bodied cigars would enjoy the Mi Amor. It's a good cigar to enjoy on its own as an afternoon treat. It comes in packs of five or boxes of 25, with a single selling in the range of $7 to $8 each. I'd say that's a reasonable price for this quality stogie.
The La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Magnifico earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
