La Aurora 1495 Robusto
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Sun Grown Corojo
Binder: Corojo
Filler: Nicaraguan & Peruvian Ligero, Dominican Pilto Cubano
This is a new smoke from LA and this is my initial impression from the other nite. I'll post a full review after I've smoked a couple. I usually don't do this, but this is a great smoke and well worth a try.
The smoke is distinctly Dominican in prfile, but with nice kicks from the ligero blend. While the cigar abounds with great Dominican toasty tobacco, cedar, leather and light coffee, the highlight of this cigar is the wonderful sweet lemon-oil notes on a very smooth finish.
While lighter than the 100 Anos, it's still a solid medium strength smoke and fairly reasonable for a high-end at $8 - 10.
This is the best new non-limited smoke I've had this year. Need to smoke a few more, but this is certainly a "box candidate".
